The Update Necessity

Change is an ugly word — and an even uglier process. You despise the new, wish only to cling to the familiar. There is safety to find in what is understood. There is an expectation of ease. You don’t want to constantly redefine your thoughts; instead you want to keep what you’ve already mastered (especially when it concerns technology).

And so… you do. There are no updates given to your computer. There are no modifications made. You maintain your system as you originally received it — and all requests to change are refused. There’s nothing good that can come from them, you’re certain.

You’re wrong.

Updating your computer is instead a vital practice — and the reason can’t be denied.

Software is fleeting; firewalls collapse; browsers fail. This is the unfortunate truth of technology: all elements eventually become obsolete, unable to sustain themselves in the wake of progress. Modifying your system is therefore needed to keep pace with all new components — taking advantage of stronger safety measures and faster connections, enabling your computer to become more responsive to your needs.

When you refuse to update, however, you ruin this process. All advantages are lost; no benefits are gained. Instead you remain trapped to past standards — and these too often prove to be dangerous, susceptible to new malware and unable to defend against corrupted codes. They’re formed on old principles and these are simply not enough to combat the modern concerns.

It is important therefore to redefine your system as often as possible. Always be aware of new softwares and additions. Never deny them — instead utilize them all, offering yourself protection for the future and ease for the present.
